Welcome to EAWIE 2016

The 3rd East Asia Workshop on Industrial Engineering (EAWIE) will be held in Taipei, Taiwan on 7-10 December 2016. The workshop continues the success of previous two workshops, which was held in Japan and Korea, respectively. The workshop will join 17th Asia Pacific Industrial Engineering and Management Systems (APIEMS) Conference, which will be hosted by the National Taiwan University of Science & Technology (Taiwan Tech). EAWIE aims to provide a forum for sharing the knowledge of logistics and reliability and exchanging both academic and practical results on various issues among different countries. Furthermore, researchers can seek opportunities for collaboration among the participants as well as to promote excellence among the fields. We believe that the audience will also benefit from the knowledge and experience from leading practitioners and academics in this area. The Workshop invites all research contributions from researchers, educators, modelers, software developers, users and practitioners.
